90's Rock Revival

I recently completed a project where I created my own line of denim for Fall 2016. The inspiration for my collection was David Bowie and the 1990's denim silhouette. I chose David Bowie as one of my inspirations because the Fall 2016 Fashion Week featured many David Bowie inspired looks. Also, many ready-to-wear fashions in retail stores today have pieces that are inspired by David Bowie. I chose the 1990's denim silhouette because as I mentioned in a previous blog post, the 1990's looks are having a revival this year. Some of the outfits that I designed include trends from the 1990's like flared denim, overalls, and trapeze dresses.

I thought I would share the 5 looks I created in my line of denim with you. The first picture is where I drew my inspiration from and the second picture is the outfits I designed.

I hope my designs inspire you to create David Bowie or a 1990's inspired look the next time you go shopping or get ready in the morning.
