6 Hacks to Make Running Easier

There is nothing I love more then going for a run. Not only does it make me happy, but it allows me to clear my mind when I am stressed. There are a few things I do to keep myself running for a longer period of time that also helps me stay motivated during my run. So, I thought I would share some of these tips.

1) Invest in a good pair of shoes and a cute outfit. Wearing good quality shoes can help with performance and will prevent injuries. Also, if you buy shoes and clothing that you love, you will feel more motivated to run just so you can wear them.

2) Make a playlist of songs or listen to an audio book. If you are going to listen to music while you run, make a playlist of songs you want to listen to before you start running. Right now I have been listening to Zayn Malik's album while I go for a run. His songs are very upbeat and they make me really happy. An alternative to listening to music is listening to an audio book. You may find that this helps you run for a longer period of time.

3) Prepare a snack. Make something for you to eat after your run or pre-plan what you want to eat when you get back from your run. You may find this motivates you while you are running because you are working towards earning that yummy snack you made.

4) Track your success. Being able to look at how long you have ran for can be very beneficial. This is because you are able to see the distance you ran so you can decide if you want to run longer. I use a FitBit to track my exercises and I absolutely love being able to look down at my watch to see how far I've ran. This will help if you are looking to increase your distance because you can work your way up to a longer run each time.

5) Have something to hold your phone. Holding your phone while you run can be very annoying and it also tightens your muscles. I recommend buying a pouch or something else to hold your phone in to make your run more successful.

Let me know in the comment section below what you do to make running easier.
