4 Tips for a Deep Sleep

Every now and then we all experience either having trouble falling asleep or having trouble staying asleep. Here are some ways that I find really helps me in these situations:

1) Taking a hot bath before calling it a day. I find this makes me very relaxed and calm before going to sleep. I highly recommend lighting a candle with the lights off, putting some drops of essential oils or any good smelling products into your bath to make you feel fresh and relaxed.

2) Putting essential oils on the bottom of your feet, neck and temples. The products in the photo above are what I use before I go to sleep. I bought all of these products from Winners and I highly recommend them. Lavender is the best scent to make you feel sleepy.

3) Stay away from electronics and technology. I know it's not easy, but try to resist the urge to go on your phone or watch tv before going to sleep. I recommend reading a book, writing in a journal, colouring, or drawing. I find this very effective when I am trying to fall asleep.

4) Drink a cup of hot tea. I find hot beverages very comforting to have before you sleep. My favourites are these two boxes in the photo above. The vanilla nut cream was purchased from Bulk Barn and the Tetley decaf tea is from Walmart. I love having them with almond milk and some sort of sweetener.

I hope these tips help you if you are having trouble sleeping. Let me know in the comment section below if you have any other tips you have for me because I would love to hear them.
